
Do’s and Don’ts When Selling a Car
Finding your vehicle’s accurate value is crucial for setting the right price. Otherwise, you might base its price on your personal experiences with the car (or just choose a price at random) and set it too high or too low. Use Kelley Blue Book or Edmunds, two trusted sources for vehicle valuations, to get an appraisal based on your vehicle’s year, make, model, features, condition and mileage. When you do get an offer for your vehicle from a potential buyer, take your time before accepting. Don’t say yes too quickly out of relief that you’ve received an offer. If the offer is too low, counter and see if the buyer accepts. Remember you can always walk away.
